Insurers starting to get nervous about large lithium batteries if you're jumping the Shark PHEV or the plethora of other petrol hybrids coming to replace diesel-

Cara parks have already been struggling to get affordable insurance with their high public risk.

Not just insurance, why should the caravan park owner foot the $16 to $25 it costs to recharge a EV. Parks are struggling at anytime.

You'd be right about that.

But didn't albo say,
You could plug your electric car in and charge over night for free, because of the solar panels on your roof.
Or words to that effect.

Simple answer on that one is install a PAYG charging station, so anybody who wants to charge can, but they pay for it!

They wont do that if they can sneak a lead out to the vehicle.

Again, simple!

Ah, you've got an EV? Yes, that'll be an extra $"10" / night, thank you!

And then who pays for that ?

The same people who paid for the toilet block, camp kitchen, rainwater tanks, landscaping etc etc etc. The Park puts it in, because they'll make the money back to cover their costs. Same thing with Parks that have their own fuel pump installed (usually with bloody expensive fuel! :'() - noone forced them to do it, they just did it to provide an extra service to their customers.

Hi,
Don’t they charge extra to run air conditioners on the van overnight. Don’t have that much down here, though a 2kW heater would cost more.
Cheers

Meanwhile Big Oil is busy conspiring against consumers and they're all in cahoots-
https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/petrol-prices-drop-to-lowest-in-three-years-across-five-major-cities/ar-AA1zIN1C
Where's the ACCC and Motoring Orgs when you really need them? Oh that's right they don't make or distribute so much as a drop of petrol but they're the eggsperts looking out for us  :cup:

"Katy Perry to head to space on Blue Origin all-women flight"

I guess it's not all bad, though ???

It should well & truly cheese off His Trumpness! ;D

"The Firework singer will be joined by Blue Origin owner Jeff Bezos's fiancee Lauren Sanchez, CBS presenter Gayle King, former Nasa rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn."

So obviously a "crew selected for their overall skill & ability ??? ::)

But when you look at it "A trip on the New Shepard typically lasts about 11 minutes, according to Blue Origin. It is fully autonomous - which means there are no pilots - and takes the passengers past the Karman line, internationally recognised as the edge of space." that's as much an all-woman space-flight as getting excited that there's only women on board the bus from Sydney to Brisbane! ::)

Interesting.. sign of the times?

https://www.news.com.au/technology/motoring/motoring-news/stellantis-discontinue-jeep-grand-cherokee-in-australia/news-story/013bfb4bbc83f4355dce12172396c192

Lets be honest
Stellantis is a huge company that includes American brands Jeep, Ram and Chrysler, France’s Citroen and Peugeot and Italy’s Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo and Maserati, and China’s electric Leapmoto

Maybe RAM is the only brand there you'd be excited about.
